Hi, I’m rachel :)
The person behind the Cherrywood Treehouse Art Studio. I know there are many options when deciding where to invest your time and energy for your kids, especially during the summer. My passion is helping kids feel comfortable being themselves and learning to trust and own their unique artistic style. Creating art plays a powerful role in building confidence, and I love partnering with families to support that growth through art camps!
I intentionally keep camps small so the experience stays manageable for me and my assistants (yes, I’ll have help this year!) and, most importantly, fun and engaging for the kids. We create a wide variety of art projects throughout the week, and I also weave in improv-style brain break games that the kids absolutely love. This keeps things fun and the energy up throughout our transitions with all the projects we’ll complete.
If you have any questions at all, please don’t hesitate to reach out. And thank you so much for taking the time to read this — I can’t wait to create with your kids! (feel free to email me at rachel@cherrywoodtreehouse.com)

Exposing kids to different mediums of art, becoming comfortable with their style, enjoying the journey and tapping into their creativity are my main goals. My lessons are instructional, with room for creative freedom.
-
We will create projects that span across all art mediums including: painting, drawing, sculpture, clay, and mixed media!
-
We are located at 2802 Lafayette Avenue B Austin TX 78722. It is an art studio in the back house of unit A. If you want to check it out before signing up, reach out to Rachel to make an appointment.
-
You are welcome to stick around and drop in anytime during the camp to see what we are working on throughout the week! This is only offered to parents who pick up and drop off. Other family and friends are welcome to come to the Art Show, though at the end of the week!
-
Please save the date for the Day of pick up - there will be an artist show where the campers display their work. They will be very proud to show it off and celebrate all the fun we had!
core values at the studio
-
Magic happens when you are authentically you, and not trying to be someone else. Even in the creation process, we'll focus on this!
-
Being kind to one another is a non negotiable for everyone in class. We strive to uplift and encourage one another at the studio.
-
We'll always aim to make amazing things. Enjoying the journey of new mediums, and the different stages of the creation process is a huge part of enjoying the journey (kind of like life!)
-
In class we'll tap into our creative side, listen to music, and enjoy the moment. Having fun is key at the studio!
